3 Months Old

Our sweet little Hattie Cakes is 3 months old today!  She is just as sweet, content, and cuddly as ever.  I never thought it would be possible to love another little girl as much as I do Ainslee, but Hattie proved me wrong!  It's amazing how your heart can love them both, the same, and so intensely.

Hattie has started smiling at everyone and everything (fans, air vents, rock work...), but I would have to say she seems to be quite the mama's girl.  Her smile is very contagious, especially when she squeals with excitement.  I love when she smiles at Ainslee.  It is so fun to watch the sister bonds beginning to form.

Hattie Bear has been sleeping longer stretches at night and will go 9 hours on a good night.  Last night she went from 10:30-7:30!  She is still a spit up machine, but I think it's getting a little better, maybe???  She has decided that she completely despises tummy time.  In fact, I can't think of anything that gets her madder!  She LOVES her swing and bouncy seat.  The swing is a life saver in the evenings when nothing else seems to help calm her.  She is obsessed with the blue elephant that velcros to the bouncy seat.  She has even been successful in pulling it off.  Of course, this is done with her left hand.  I know it is WAY to early to establish handedness, but I will not be surprised if she is a lefty like her Daddy and big sister.

For some reason she is rarely just called Hattie.  Poor kid is going to have a nickname forever attached to her.  Hattie Cakes, Hattie Bear, Hattie Boo Battie (Ainslee's favorite), Rudy Tudy, and Walter (this is Pop's crazy name for her) are some of the nicknames she goes by! :)  Enjoy the pics!  Unfortunately Hattie was not in a smiley mood, but I had to get pics as soon as possible- you never know how long two little girls will keep their white shirts clean!

Hoodie Sisters

The chilly hill country mornings have given me the opportunity to bust out some winter attire for the girls (of course it is shed by lunch time...).  Hattie has been able to use a lot of Ainslee's hand-me-downs that I thought she wouldn't get to wear.  Poor planning on having girls born in December and July, but what can you do? :)
This was my favorite outfit of Ainslee's!  Hattie appears to be less than thrilled about wearing it :)
When did she get so big?!
Love these little girls more than I could ever imagine!
 And Hattie is DONE!

Playtime w/ G-Ma and Grandpa

We have been finding every excuse we can to get out and enjoy this beautiful fall weather!  Last week we had a picnic lunch at the park with G-Ma and Grandpa.  Ainslee had a blast showing off her swinging and climbing skills!
G-Ma helped her with the maze.  She was fascinated by this and called it a map!
I finally got her to look at the camera and smile!
G-Ma was a little nervous going down the slide
But Grandpa loved it, even if his legs were a little too long!
 Plenty of supervision
Hattie enjoyed sitting in the shade and practiced holding her head up with Grandpa
 Just waving to the camera
