This was Ainslee's first trip to Kerrville, and longest car ride. I am still amazed at how much "stuff" is required to take a newborn on a trip. On Christmas Eve we went to Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Rouse's house for dinner. Ainslee got to meet her great-grandparents and some of her great aunts and uncles for the first time. Mommy and Daddy had to leave the party a little early...we discovered that Huggies just don't fit quite the same as Pampers...you get the picture. Christmas morning we woke up feeling very rested, because Ainslee decided her gift to us was only one feeding in the night, instead of 2 or 3. It was the best Christmas present we could have received! We had a wonderful Christmas morning with Grammy and Pop Rouse, Aunt Lauren and Uncle Trevor. Ainslee decided she just wanted to sleep ALL day, and missed most of the festivities. Mommy and Daddy had to open her STACKS of presents :) Later that afternoon Memaw and Putpaw Shaw, Uncle Rob, and cousin Ian came to have Christmas dinner. We had great time visiting with everyone and introducing them to Ainslee. Later that night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Gilbreath's house to open Santa presents and introduce Ainslee to her Great-Grandmother Gilbreath and Uncle Travis. Whew, so many relatives to meet! Ainslee is looking forward to meeting even more at Aunt Lauren & Uncle Trevor's wedding in a few weeks!
