Ouch!

Ainslee had to go to the doctor for her 2 month check-up (a little late) yesterday. She had to get FOUR shots, 2 in each leg! She handled them like a champ though, and only cried a little. I've heard her cry much harder and louder when she is hungry than when she got the shots :) She was easily comforted and took some tylenol to help with any fever. We also found out she is now a whopping 11 pounds and 23 1/2 inches long, I think she is actually growing faster than a weed!

2 Months Old

Here's a little size comparison

Visiting with Auntie Allison

I DO like my swing!

Ainslee enjoying the play gym

Charley also enjoys the play gym!

Ainslee turned 2 months old on Super Bowl Sunday. It's true, time flies! She is so much fun now that she smiles, coos, and makes all kinds of noises. She is getting quite proficient at holding her head up, and only resembles a bobble head every now and then. She is giving her mommy and daddy plenty of sleep at night, so we can't complain in that department. She is also enjoying a little "Ainslee time" in her swing and on her play gym. This has allowed mommy to start doing things like laundry & cooking...it's the simple things in life you miss being able to do :) Auntie Allison came to visit this past weekend and got to meet Ainslee for the 1st time, Ainslee loved her! Hopefully Auntie Allie will come back, because someone decided to have a growth spurt and screamed & ate all day while Allison was here.

Rehearsal dinner

Bridesmaid's Brunch

Pre-blowout in the bride's room

So cute

This was a BIG weekend for our family. Lauren & Trevor are officially married and honeymooning as we speak! We are so excited to have Trevor as part of our family. We had a wonderful time at the rehearsal dinner, bridesmaid's brunch, wedding, and reception. But let me tell you, being a matron of honor and a mommy to a 7 week old at the same time is some serious work. Everything was going quite smoothly, except for the fact that Ainslee was due to eat at 4:00- same time as the wedding. With Jason being an usher, we had it all calculated so that I would be waiting to walk down the aisle holding Ainslee and giving her a bottle, while Jason performed his "ushering duties, " when it was time for the bridesmaids to walk down the aisle I would hand her off and he would sit with her at the back of the church, and finish off the bottle. Well, everything was going smoothly until about 3:59. I felt something wet on my hand....yes, yes it was poop, and it was coming out of her diaper, pantyhose, diaper cover, and onto my dress!!! We were already lined up to go down the aisle! All the bridesmaids, me, the wedding coordinator, and the photographer rushed to the brides room for a ridiculously quick clean up. Everyone started pulling stuff out of the diaper bag and handing me wipes & diapers, while someone else was scrubbing away on my dress (luckily the dresses were black). All the while, the photographer is clicking away ( I can't wait to see those pics!). Well according to Beth, I had "some amazing mom skills" and we had her all cleaned off in a matter of seconds. I threw her into Jason's arms, grabbed my bouquet and walked down the aisle as if nothing had happened.
We had joked about Ainslee having a blow out in her fancy dress, I just had no idea that she would have such wonderful timing with it :)

ice ice baby...

Ainslee got to go to her (and mommy & daddy's) first hockey game last night. At 6 weeks, I believe she was the youngest Rampage fan in attendance. She actually stayed awake through most of the game despite the incredible amount of noice. One of our friends from Sunday school invited us to go with him and several friends. We enjoyed our view from the suite, along with all the food.

SMILE!

1st smiles caught on camera

Ainslee decided she needed to add a new facial expression this week! Mommy was washing her hair, and apparently (like any girl) she was enjoying it. She just looked right up and a gave a giant grin. It was the cutest little smile ever!
