Movin' On Up!

Well Ainslee has had several milestones this week. She had her first sit in a Bumbo (yes, I know I used to be opposed to them, but any new baby containing apparatus is necessary when trying to cook dinner/go to the bathroom/put in a load of laundry). She officially outgrew her baby bathtub. She was getting pretty scrunched, and it made it hard to clean all her little thigh "rolls" :) She has also discovered that she can move. She started out just going in circles on the playmat, but now she digs in her heels, arches her back, and away she goes...off the playmat and onto the carpet. I guess you could call this move an upside down inchworm? If/when she ever decides that being on her tummy was enjoyable, she might be all over the place!

I think she likes it!

Reading w/ Daddy

Jason was on Spring Break last week so we decided to take a trip to my parent's cabin near Garner State Park. We went to Kerrville on Saturday to celebrate Lauren's birthday and then followed my parents to the cabin on Sunday. We stayed a few days and enjoyed life on the river with no TV and phones. Jason had a blast clearing cedar with a chain saw on the property (I'm being serious) & I know my mom thoroughly enjoyed all the "baby time." Ainslee did great with all the fresh air. She took wonderful naps & seemed quite content the entire time. On Easter Sunday we had my parents, grandparents, and Jason's parents over for a big brisket dinner. We had a great time and enjoyed being surrounded by family.

More visits!

Cowgirl Ainslee

Ainslee loves her Uncle Travis

Tummy time (she hates it actually)
Baby Feet

Today Jason's dad, grandmother, and brother came to San Antonio. They stopped off at Jason's school to bring him lunch and say hello, and then came over to our house to see Ainslee and have lunch. His grandmother (GG) and Travis hadn't seen Ainslee since Christmas, and they were amazed at how much she has changed. Once Ainslee woke up from her nap, she enjoyed talking and smiling at them. Since Jason's parents have (and LOVE) horses I dressed her up in her pink pearl snap shirt w/ horses on it and her blue jeans. I can't wait to get her a pair of pink cowboy boots :)

All tuckered out after a fun day

Auntie Lo (aka Lauren) came to visit Ainslee today since she is on Spring Break. We went to lunch at Pei Wei and did a little shopping. We had a short but sweet little visit, and Ainslee enjoyed getting to spend time with her aunt.

3 Months Old!

On a walk w/ Grandma & Grandpa
Out!
A little bit of a grin
Our little angel
Going to town in the bouncy seat

Ainslee is now 3 months old! This weekend Jason and I went to see The Phantom of the Opera (a wonderful b-day present from Jason) at the Majestic Theatre. Jason's parents came and stayed with Ainslee. It was the longest I've been away from her, but they said she did great. Next step-church nursery. A few of her new favorites include: sucking on her hand, fingers, and trying to suck on both hands at the same time. She is also a big fan of her bouncy seat, going on walks, and country music-yes, Texas country music specifically. Jason has a Texas Country CD that she loves, she will actually start crying in the pauses between songs. If anyone knows how to make a CD that has no pauses we would be grateful :) She is now sleeping around 10 hours at night, but I am afraid the blasted time change this weekend is going to throw a kink in that schedule.
