Japanese Tea Gardens

Grandma and Grandpa came to San Antonio this morning for a quick visit with their favorite grandchild! They packed a delicious picnic lunch and I packed a very full diaper bag, and we all headed to the Japanese Tea Gardens. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the girls LOVED being outside! Ainslee hiked the trail by herself and Grandma and Grandpa took turns carrying Cameron (way too many steps for the stroller), so that I could take lots of pictures. I think the coy ponds were by far their favorite (the fish were as big as they are)! It was so nice to get out of the house and enjoy this beautiful fall weather we are having.

Ainslee is mildly obsessed with phones. I think all children have some strange fascination with phones, but lately anything can be a phone for Ainslee. We have seen her use our phones (and actually manage to call people), toy phones, our old cell phones, a Wii sensor thingy, computer microphone, a usb stick drive, and a calculator (which she is totally convinced is a phone). Basically if it looks electronic, it's fair game. But now for the latest and greatest, yesterday morning she was eating cheerios and bit one in half. She proceeded to put the other half up to her ear and say "hello?" Then she giggled, knowing she was being silly. Totally reminded me of Zoolander and his ridiculously tiny cell phone!

Here she is, pantsless of course, about a month ago talking to Grammy and telling her all about the bobos on her fingers (from picking up glass at the playground!)

Sweet Berry Farm

Saturday morning we packed our picnic basket and headed to Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls. I had heard that they had a great pumpkin patch with lots of fun things to do. We were not disappointed! Ainslee had a blast running around and exploring the farm. I think this will be a new family tradition.

Photography 101

Let me explain, in case you don't get it yet. What you just saw pretty much happens every time I get out the camera and try to take a picture/video these days. It really stinks!

The other day though, Katie brought over a toy camera for Ainslee and Cameron to play with at our house. This thing has ALL the bells and whistles and Ainslee LOVES it. Well, today I was determined to take a few pictures of my beautiful little girl. I thought that by letting her use her "camera" to take pictures of her baby, I might be able to take pictures of my baby. I'll let you see how this transpired..

The shirt she's wearing used to be her mommy's, made by her Grammy. And those adorable little shoes she's sporting...got those at a consignment store this weekend. Yep, they're Stride Rite and had NO signs of wear whatsoever and just happened to be a size 5 1/2- the perfect size! Oh yea, and they were 50% off (at the consignment store) which means ridiculously cheap! Here's a close up for you!

Football & Footie Pajamas

Ainslee got to go to another football game yesterday. This one was Lopez vs. Tejada Middle Schools. Jason's parents came to watch Jason's team and to spend some time with Ainslee. Ainslee had a blast running around, making friends, and getting dirty :) You just mention football now, and Ainslee runs to the door saying "ball, ball, ball." Makes Daddy so proud!

And completely unrelated, but oh so adorable, is Ainslee in her new footie pajamas. I LOVE them! And so does she. She kept pointing to the bottoms of her feet and saying "shoes!"

Whoop!

We headed to Aggieland last Friday night for a weekend of fun! Jason had signed up for a Crossfit competition/fundraiser and "Aunt" Katy scored us all tickets to the football game (alumni side, 40 yard line, 11th row, thank you Garrett family)! As an added bonus, our friend Lee and his wife Lindsey (who we had yet to meet) were able to come into town for the day. We had a great time visiting, eating, and enjoying the company of great friends!

This was Ainslee's second Aggie game to attend, and we prepared her by teaching her how to gig'em, whoop, and yell "Go Aggies!" I was a little worried because the game did not start until 6 pm, but our little AGGie proved herself to be quite the fan! I would have to say that the band was her absolute favorite part. She watched the entire performance and as soon as they ran off the field she looked at me and said and signed, "more, more, more." She even yelled Aggies the next day when she saw a marching band in her Wee Sing video, haha! She was quite the trooper the entire game, and we honestly only left because we wanted to beat the traffic (and we were BTHO UAB by a ton of points). We can't wait to take her to another game!
